How does a poker workshop connect to our work?

We use the game to surface moments of pressure, risk and choice, then unpack them with a facilitator. Colleagues have a shared experience to examine, built from decisions they actually made during the session.

For a law firm, consultancy, accountancy practice or financial services team, the connection is judgement. Client work often means deciding what to do while information is incomplete: forming a view on the evidence and the risks, then explaining the choice to someone else.

Around the table, those questions become visible. Each decision gives the group something specific to discuss: what informed it, which assumptions shaped it and what happened next. Our facilitators draw out the lessons and connect them to your team's objectives.

Which skills can we explore together?

“Read the room. Assert your value.” is how we describe the skills at the heart of our approach. Body language and deep listening matter when you are trying to understand another person's position. Assertive communication matters when you need to make your own position clear.

Our workshops also explore self-regulation and risk and reward management. Pressure affects how people respond, and a game gives colleagues a setting in which to notice their own habits. Do they rush? Hold back? How do they react when the situation changes?

Will everyone be able to take part?

Yes. Our workshops are designed from the ground up for complete beginners. We teach the fundamentals of Texas Hold'em during the session, with experienced facilitators guiding the group.

There is never any gambling at our events: nobody stakes money and there is no personal risk.

Can you bring the experience to our office?

Yes. We are fully mobile to your preferred space, including an office, hotel or function room, and we can recommend partner venues across London and beyond. We bring the tables, cards and kit; food, drinks and room hire are arranged with the venue.

Can the workshop fit our group and event programme?

We work with groups from 6 to 80 people, with larger events possible, space permitting. Each table seats eight.
