Frequently Asked Questions

Aces High events typically cater to groups of 6-60+. We scale up in tables of up to 8 participants, providing a hands-on experience with lots of gameplay. However, we are expert organisers and can host much larger, bespoke events too. Please get in touch to discuss your event vision and customised options.
No, there is never any gambling at Aces High events. Our workshops use poker purely as a tool for fun, learning and reflection - never with financial risk. Participants only ever compete to win chips - for prizes, trophies and bragging rights!
Yes, Aces High is a fully-mobile experience provider. We bring everything we need to your office, venue or preferred location. This includes full-size tournament grade poker tables (8ft x 4ft) which divide in 2 and are reassembled on site. We may ask about access information, lifts, or request a site visit in advance. We ask that the room is fully private and that the venue provides chairs where possible. Depending on the group size, we will need access 1-2 hours in advance of the start time to get set up.
We work with a number of partner venues across London that are used to hosting Aces High events and accommodating our tables. Depending on event size, budget and preferred location, we can recommend a range of function rooms. Aces High do not take a mark up on food, drink or room hire and all payment will be direct with the venue. If you have somewhere in mind, we can speak with the venue to confirm logistics and event details.
Don’t know the difference between a club and a spade? We’ve got you covered! Already got your World Series bracelet? You’ll learn something too. Whilst our sessions are designed for complete novices, you can be sure we challenge the full range of experience levels. Our facilitators will patiently guide beginners through the basic mechanics, step by step, and enter you into your first tournament. But whether you're completely new or a poker pro, you’ll leave with valuable insights and new skills.
Absolutely not! Aces High is only ever led by our expert facilitators, alongside respected poker professionals. Our workshops are designed to develop real business skills using poker as a framework. We focus on strategy, decision-making, and team dynamics, making this a valuable and memorable learning experience. We’ve designed the entire experience with a luxury feel and high-end touches.
Once we have curated and agreed all details of your event, we take payment in full to confirm your booking and lock in the date. We have to pay our team upfront and some of our partners are freelancers that will be turning down other work. We refund 50% of the event fee where events are cancelled with more than 14 days' notice.
